Valiant Role

from HELP by Felted Fruit

/

lyrics

If you had the chance to flee to this small town’s sister city. If you had the guts to book… If you could burn down all their pity. That would be The Call Of Grid. Spinal plates of humpback bridges.Talent doing musical numbers in every uptown loft apartment.
Fires in the sky! Or ripped to shreds by a pack of jackals. Fuses with faults.A billion volts shot through your dungarees. Shoed and suited sleaze. Bobbing round with his cigar cocked, promising you gold, draping you with stolen ermines.
Will we see you on the diagram? Will we see you on the instruction page? Will we be together in mutual fluster? Will we be searching for conversation points? Who is the host, who is the leader? We should have stayed locked in the country,
raising a lawyer and tending the land.
Remember the time we rolled down the endless pastures. Remember the night we hopped the gate and started fires. It was not a life,
just one jewel-studded summer of deep shadow and to be the escapee, it was a valiant role.
